Why Choose Trillium Dental for Implants in Nepean

When you choose our clinic, one dentist handles your entire implant procedure. No referrals, no handoffs, no gaps in care. From your very first consultation to the moment your final restoration is placed, you’ll always know exactly who’s looking after your smile.

We’ll give you an honest assessment of whether you’re a good candidate before we start any treatment, a timeline of what to expect and a complete breakdown of costs. That way, every decision you make at our clinic is done with full information.

What Are Dental Implants and How Do They Work?

Surgery is used to place a titanium post directly into your jawbone. Once it’s in, this post does what your original tooth root did: it holds things steady. That’s what makes it possible to support a crown afterward, one that looks natural and works the way a real tooth would, for years to come.

Components of a Dental Implant

An implant relies on three separate pieces, each with its own job to do. First, the titanium post is your new root. Above it sits the abutment, linking the post to the tooth you’ll actually see. Last comes the crown, the part everyone sees, and the piece that finishes off your smile. Every piece is precision-fitted to your anatomy, so the finished result feels like it belongs there.

How Implants Replace Missing Teeth

Unlike bridges, our implants don’t rely on adjacent teeth. Unlike dentures, they don’t shift. The post integrates with your jawbone, giving the crown above an independent, stable foundation.

Benefits of Choosing Dental Implants

Your jawbone density stays intact, and your bite strength comes back to what it used to be; that’s what dental implants offer. As for upkeep, there’s nothing special involved. Brush and floss the way you normally would, and that’s it. When properly cared for, they’re built to last a lifetime.

Are You a Candidate for Dental Implants in Nepean?

Most adults in good general health make strong candidates for implants in Nepean. Certain factors, such as significant bone loss or uncontrolled health conditions, for instance, may mean some preparatory work is needed before your implant can be placed.

Our Nepean evaluates your candidacy through a comprehensive exam. If bone grafting is needed first, we walk you through exactly what that means for your treatment and timeline.

Not sure if you qualify? Book a consultation at our Nepean dental implant clinic.

The Dental Implant Procedure at Our Clinic

We guide every Nepean patient through a clear, step-by-step implant process, so you always know what’s coming next and what to expect.

General Dentistry Ottawa

Step 1: Initial Consultation and Assessment

Before anything else, we look at your medical history and check both bone volume and gum health, the two factors that shape what comes next.

Step 2: Implant Placement Surgery

The titanium post goes in under local anesthesia. This is a procedure that most patients tolerate well and any post-operative discomfort is generally mild and doesn’t last long.

Step 3: Healing and Osseointegration

Your jawbone doesn’t just sit next to the implant. Over several months, it actually grows into and around it, a process dentists call osseointegration, until the two are effectively one structure.

Step 4: Abutment Placement and Crown Attachment

Once fusion is complete, two things happen: the abutment goes on, then your custom crown follows, shaped, sized, and colored to match the teeth next to it.

Step 5: Follow-Up Care and Maintenance

We monitor your implant at every regular checkup. Maintain it exactly like a natural tooth, brush, floss, and you’re done.

Dental Implants vs Dentures vs Bridges – Which Is Right for You in Nepean?

Dentures are removable and more affordable upfront, but they shift over time and contribute to jawbone loss. Bridges stay fixed in place, but they come at a cost. Healthy teeth on either side have to be ground down to support them.

Implants work differently: they preserve bone density, leave neighboring teeth untouched, and offer the one permanent solution among your options. The upfront cost is higher, but implants offer better long-term function, comfort, and durability.

Our Nepean implant dentist walks you through the honest trade-offs at your consultation, so you choose with confidence.

I've been going to Trillium for 4 years, Stittsville location. Last week, I had the opportunity to revisit a dentist that I have come to know that had moved from that location, to the Bayshore Trillium office.

I have dental anxiety that I've had since a child and a dentist who listens, is patient, kind, understanding and gentle, tops my list of dental needs.
Dr Kapur is all of those things and it was worth my drive over there to see him for a small tooth fix. He is also funny, quite personable which puts a patient at ease.
I am going to need a Crown soon and I'm sure I'll be seeing him again.

The office was clean and his office staff were kind. Everything seemed new and high tech.

Tip - park on top level of Bayshore garage and enter at RBC. The dental office is directly across from the bank at the entry/exit doors.
