Dr. Mairead Seaby
Dr. Mairead Seaby was born and raised in Ireland. Dr. Seaby began her studies in Dental Hygiene and after graduating she was eager to learn more about dentistry. In 2010, she then went on to obtain her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University College Cork of Ireland. During her academic career, Dr. Seaby won the Pat Jones Hygiene Award, The Health Research Board Summer Scholarship and was nominated for the Leo Heslin Medal. After graduation, Dr. Seaby began practicing in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories before arriving in Ottawa.
Dr. Seaby believes the process of dentistry should be a positive one, which includes a knowledgeable dentist and patient; and so, the discussion of treatment plans and patient understanding is at the forefront of her goals. Her highest priority is her patients and their comfort from the minute they enter the clinic, hoping to make their overall experience an enjoyable one. Her passion for dentistry is enhanced by her gentle and professional chair-side manner which puts her patients at ease.
While Dr. Seaby enjoys all aspects of dentistry including root canals, extractions, restorative and cosmetic work, she particularly enjoys oral surgery and giving her patients a new smile! Dr. Mairead Seaby is a certified provider of Invisalign “the clear alternative to braces” and is always accepting new patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Seaby is busy at home with her three young children! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her adoring husband, family, and friends. She is an active member of the community and is delighted to now call Ottawa her home.
